I am interested in recreating natural and geometric shapes in metal, and balancing solid forms with space. I like to design jewellery which catches the viewer’s attention and draws them towards the finer detail; whether through movement, colour, texture or movement. Colour is an important feature of my work and is achieved by the incorporation of coloured metal, stones and enamel. I like the concept of enamel as “painting with glass”, blending colour to create subtle variations of tones. I screen print with enamel on to panels, layering colours and creating textured finishes. I have won several awards, exhibited at New Designers in 2007, and am a member of the British Society of Enamellers, Craft Central and Cambridge Open Studios. I exhibit in London and locally, and take commissions. Tricia Taylor Designs.
